Started in 1991 Trevor Jackson’s Bite it! label became home to some of the UK’s finest british hop hop artists during its short 5 year life span. Best known for groundbreaking artists The Brotherhood, Lewis Parker & Scientists of Sound, along with Little Pauly Ryan and 100% Proof it’s series of powerful releases packaged in mostly black & white minimalist photographic covers (all shot by Donald Christie) broke new ground for British Hip Hop, and set new standards internationally for presenting rap music intelligently without losing any of the visceral energy that makes the genre so vital.
