Solid Steel Radio – Mix

Solid Steel returns with brand new and exclusive mixes from Four Tet and Trevor Jackson.

For this special show we have Kieran Hebden – AKA Four Tet – partnered with Trevor Jackson – founder of Output Recordings, the independent record label he ran between 1996 and 2006.

Both artists have a long history with the show (this is Hebden’s 7th appearance and Jackson’s 3rd), as well as with each other. Hebden’s early releases as part of Fridge and his first solo release – the 1997 “Double Density” single under the artist name 4T Recordings – were released on Output. The label was also home to the first releases under his Four Tet Alias, including 1998 singles “Thirtysixtwentyfive” and “Misnomer”, and 1999’s “Glasshead”/”Calamine” single and first full-length album “Dialogue”. Jackson also released music on the label as Skull and Open Music, and elsewhere including his work as Playgroup.
